Beverly Ann Willis "Bev" Culbreath                                                              Funeral Services for Beverly Ann Willis 'Bev' Culbreath, 50, of Highlands, TX, were held on Wednesday, August 1, 2001, at 10:00 A.M. in Sterling White Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Interment followed in White Cemetery. Bev was born April 29, 1951, in San Antonio, and passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Sunday, July 29, 2001, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving and giving person, and very dedicated to the Highlands community. She enjoyed raising cattle, spending time at the beach, reading novels, horse racing, and escaping to the casino boats for rest and relaxation. She instructed Scuba diving and had owned her own dive shop in Baytown. She served as Executive Director of the Highlands Chamber of Commerce, President of the Highlands Rotary Club, and Past President of the Highlands Little League. She is survived by her husband, Danny Culbreath of Highlands; son, B.J. Gabbert, Jr. of Highlands; mother, Marion J. Willis of San Antonio; stepmother, Inken Willis of San Antonio; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy Blanks of Houston, Heide and Wil Langdon of Hampton VA, and Christina Komet of San Antonio; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee and Lorie Willis of San Antonio, and Kevin and Kelly Willis of Dallas; 12 nieces and nephews; many longtime friends from Highlands and Baytown. The family would like to send a special 'thank you' to those friends who supported Beverly throughout her life.
