Comments:

Went to college and took basics at SAC. I then
married in 1970 to San Antonio policeman Scott Walker who is the father of my children. Divorced after 19 years of marriage (not all policemen are like my dad--that's for sure). I went back to college to pursue my pre-med but decided that path was not mine anymore. My mother (who is an RN) and I formed a medical auditing company (1978), Medical Audit Consultants, where I worked as Vice President for 30 years. My children are the joy of my life and in 1991 I met Charlie Wood. I happily re-married in 1993. Charlie used to perform with Mickey Gilley back in the early 80s and started doing his own thing in 1996 which is contemporary jazz, which has garnered him grammy nominations for two of his CDs and last year in 2016, Charlie won 2-Global Music Awards. I became his manager for Third Stream Productions, our record label and recording studio. We also have our own radio show which streams 24/7. Charlie and I own and operate a music school in Bulverde, Texas called Third Stream Music which is geared towards teaching and he repairs guitars, amps, basses, etc. Charlie also is noted for his musical antiquity collection of all sorts of Edison players, horn players, etc.

My parents are still living which is a great blessing. My dearest aunt Jeannie, who was mentally challenged, passed away in 2006. Charlie and I took care of her for 13 years in our home and she truly was the greatest loss I have suffered in this lifetime. My brothers, Mark, Morris, Jeff, Danny and my sister Kim all live in San Antonio. Mark and Jeff are physicians, Morris and Kim are lawyers and Danny is a Finance Director at Marmon Mok.

Currently, my sister Kim is running the family business as I am taking care of my dad after his stroke until my mom can sell her two-story house. I don't really go into the workplace too often but do most of my work from home now. Managing Charlie's music takes up much of my time and I really love doing this. Charlie and I also study authentic Kabbalah through Bnei Baruch Institute. We hope all mankind comes to the realization of this science to live as one man in one heart. This is truly the cure to this world's many ills.

I am branching out and beginning a new business about wisdom of connection. I will be offering professional development classes for educators and other professionals. In addition I will be offering connection classes for the general public and special classes about connected wisdom geared toward the Jewish population and secular Jews through Agudas Achim synagogue.

I was deeply saddened to see that several of our classmates had passed away. I remember each of them and I will hold them in my heart always.

School Story:

I feel at a disadvantage as I came to Alamo Heights my junior year. So many of you I know from the two short years I went there. So there are many things I did not share with everyone as I read here in others' profiles. However, I still feel tied to all of you since we did graduate together. I didn't get to attend the reunion after all as I hoped to as I got sick the day before it happened. I hope we have another one very soon.

I recently lost my husband, Charlie Wood, who was a two time grammy nominee (1996 and 2008) and a 2 time Global Music award winner last year (2015 & 2016) for his jazz music. Charlie was a contemporary jazz guitarist for the last 20 years. Prior to that he played lead guitar with Mickey Gilley at Gilley's and performed with other country greats, but his love was jazz and jazz is what he is known for. There was a tribute to Charlie on January 15th at the Tobin Center, another tribute done in Israel with over 9,000 attendees...and another tribute for the musicians he performed with in the U.S. in NY. I worked as Charlie's manager and I loved doing the music...He was deeply loved by all those who knew him...He touched everyone's soul...He owned his own music school in Bulverde, Tx, Third Stream Music. We still have our Third Stream Productions which is our recording studio and production company.

I am very sorry to hear the loss of another classmate...Holding his family in my thoughts and heart. I do remember Don being a gentle soul, kind, and I never heard him talk "ugly" of anyone...It says bounds when a human being can see good in all things. From his daughter's comment, he seems to have been a most special dad that enjoyed life and his children. His soul will always reside in you and your sister, he's always there in your heart, just the earthly body leaves this world but the soul and his essence lives on.

I was quite taken back when I received the email about Gail...My heart goes out to Chuck and the rest of the family. I am holding them in my heart and thoughts. All I know is that the soul never dies, only our body and she lives within all of us who knew her and especially within her family.
