Oh Monty, what can I say? You were my first big love in highschool

and I will always remember you fondly. You were incredibly talented with

your art & imagination. I Hope to see you with the angels one day.

I remember Monte for his exquisite detail in the realm of Rat Fink Art. My good friend Stevie Karotkin praised his etchings. Soon therefater, Stevie died and Monte left for Vietnam. Great memories althoght seems a bit disjoiinted now. Best regards to all, Roberto

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Monty found a head shop? I could be wrong, but, for some reason, I immediately thought of this.

No matter if I'm wrong or not, he was a great person, and he is now will all of the others who were wonderful human beings - and this includes my elder brother Gary.

Oh my-- Monty, what a character extraordinaire.  Bob West where did you ever come up with that drawing, one so unforgettable?  Monty was born with talent and a sense of humor to match.  I remember running into him one day and attempting to comment on his full beard with a thin slice shaven from his bottom lip to under his chin. He explained it was NOT a beard, but just sideburns. Beyond clever was Monty Fladger.  Let's not forget the early make of his white panel truck/van he had painted in bold black lettering on the side: POLICÍA.  RIP Monty, much lov my brother.

Hanging out with Monty was one of so many great experiences going through life, I unsuccessfully didn't find you last year, Strength to The Family and Friends Joe De La Garza.

The infamous Night of the Bwana. 45 years ago tonight. It wouldn't have been the same without the artwork by Monty on the flyer. Pam Bain added a nice map on the back (not shown).
