Terry Lynn Poerner was born in San Antonio on January 3, 1951 to parents Homer William Poerner (1927-2009) and Arlene Eleanor Steubing Poerner (1928-2003).  She attended school in the Alamo Heights school system, and graduated from Alamo Heights High School in the Class of 1969.  She passed away in San Antonio at the age of 49 on December 18, 2000.  She is interred at St. John's Lutheran Cemetary in San Antonio.  Terry is survived by her brother, Allen Poerner and his wife Diana, and her sister, Susan Garcia and her husband George.
