Don, you were a year ahead of me, but I always knew who you were because you were both very friendly and incredibly outgoing. Then, only in the last few years, we connected again, and I very much enjoyed hearing about your life - you always had something good to say about most everything.

Your loving spirit, while it will be missed by all, will continue to live in the hearts of all you touched.

Don and I were family friends from early childhood, and I have wonderful memories of playing together at family events.  In high school, I remember Don as being one of the kindest people...always so friendly to everyone.  Don, you will be greatly missed.

From Rebecca Reser

With a heavy heart, I share that my beloved dad, Don Clayton Reser, died from complications of liver disease two days ago. He was a tender-hearted man who I was especially close to. The epitome of a devoted father, he was the kind of dad who would drop everything for me on any occasion. He was extremely proud of my sister and me, literally everyone who knew him knew that. Throughout my life, he has been my biggest fan and I wouldn't be who I am without him. He took me to countless volleyball practices and tournaments, he was my biggest motivator in school, he probably embarrassed me a million times with his dad jokes and ridiculous dancing and I loved him more for it.

Together we went on tons of road trips and camping trips, all the while singing out loud to every Queen greatest hit. We visited Fiesta Texas and Schlitterbahn countless times (pretty sure we hold the all-time ride record on The Rattler and Bahnzai Pipeline), he'd always tell us stories about all of our relatives (esp. West Texas family and our cowboy heritage), he would take us to all of the best movies, help us learn to build and use computers from a young age, took us shopping at A&F even before we thought it was cool, let us take the wheel when we were far too young to drive, he would stay up reading to me until 2 a.m. more times than you can imagine, he gave us stockings at Christmas and baskets at Easter that overflowed with toys and candy and made a trail all the way to our bedroom doors. He was simply an incredible dad.

Dearest Rebecca,

Your coments about your dad were full of the love and kindness that I always felt was the essence of your father. I hope you and you sister will be able to find solace in these loving memories and the fact that your dad is not on pain.

He was, indeed, a very special spirit full of light, love and kindness.

In peace and love,

Susan Fitch

I am very sorry to hear the loss of another classmate...Holding his family in my thoughts and heart. I do remember Don being a gentle soul, kind, and I never heard him talk "ugly" of anyone...It says bounds when a human being can see good in all things. From his daughter's comment, he seems to have been a most special dad that enjoyed life and his children. His soul will always reside in you and your sister, he's always there in your heart, just the earthly body leaves this world but the soul and his essence lives on.
